CRYSTAL TOWNSHIP BOARD MEETING MINUTES

Wednesday, March 9, 2016

7:00 p.m.

Crystal Community Center

The meeting was called to order by Supervisor Johnston at 7:00 p.m. and followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.

Members Present: Kurt McCracken, Ted J. Padgett, Chris Johnston, Bob Naumann, Jason Anderson.

Public Comment: Public was allowed time to make comments. Motion by McCracken, supported by Anderson to allow the families of Lee Avery and Emily Patin to erect a "Memorial Park Area" in the NW Corner of the Crystal Lake Park. Motion carried- all ayes.

Approval of Agenda & Acceptance of the Consent Agenda: Motion by McCracken, supported by Anderson to approve the agenda and accept the Consent Agenda which included:

a. February 10, 2016 Regular Meeting Minutes

b. March 7, 2016 Special Meeting Minutes

c. Approval of Township Bills

d. Approval of Crystal/Duck Lake Sanitary Sewer Bills

Motion carried- all ayes.

Approval of Consent Agenda: Motion by Naumann, supported by Padgett to accept the Consent Agenda as presented. Motion carried- all ayes.

Reports: Reports were presented.

Correspondence: Monthly correspondence was presented.

Unfinished Business:

b. Community Center Dumpster Bids- Motion by Naumann, supported by McCracken to award the Community Center Dumpster Bid to Republic Waste Services for a cost of $70.00 per month ($210.00 quarterly). Motion carried- all ayes.

c. Appoint Library Board Representative- Motion by Padgett, supported by Naumann to appoint Gail Byers as Library Board Representative. Motion carried- all ayes.

e. Montcalm County Road Commission Brine Contract- Motion by Johnston, supported by Padgett to approve the Montcalm County Road Commission Brine Contract for a total of $33, 433. Motion carried 4/1. Naumann opposed.

New Business:

b. DPW- Toro mower upgrade. Motion by Padgett, supported by Anderson to approve the purchase of a new Toro mower for the DPW. Motion carried- all ayes.

Public Comment: The public was allowed time for comment.

Adjournment: Motion by McCracken, supported by Anderson to adjourn the meeting at 7:45p.m.
